When water is supplied to the 300X slow-closing check valve from the inlet end, it passes through the microfilter, needle valve, and check valve into the main valve control chamber. It then drains downstream via the ball valve. Since the needle valve opening is smaller than the ball valve opening, the drainage rate from the main valve control chamber exceeds the inflow rate. Consequently, the pressure within the control chamber decreases. The inlet pressure acting on the underside of the main valve disc opens the main valve, supplying water downstream.
When the pipeline ceases water supply and downstream water begins to flow back, a portion of the backflow enters the main control chamber through the ball valve. Due to the check valve's function, the backflow cannot exit the main control chamber, causing the pressure within it to gradually increase and slowly close the main valve.
